Add Count Type: Intersection Safety Behaviours

It would be great to be able to gather statistics on the behaviours of intersection users related to safety/legality - especially as intersection become more complex/unfamiliar with the addition of infrastructure to accommodate non-motorized users. This would involve counting actions such as:

  • running yellow and red lights
  • failing to yield right-of-way
  • rolling stops (right turn on red)
  • unsafe left turns
  • collisions
  • near-misses
  • speeding
  • distracted driving
  • J-walking
  • close passing
  • following too close
  • harassment
  • incorrect use of cycling/pedestrian infrastructure
  • etc...

The counts could apply to all users (cyclists, motorists, pedestrians, etc...). Would need to clearly specify which part/direction of the intersection was being monitored (in the count location description/comments?) .

Thanks for giving this some thought.
